Le Châtelard - Frontière, km 36.906 from Saint-Gervais, km 18.363 from Martigny

Châtelard-Frontière (“Châtelard-Border”), like its name suggests, is located at the French-Swiss border. It has wooden buildings: a passenger building and sheds. They are typical of the Swiss line’s architecture. From the border, the line is powered by overhead wires instead of a third rail.

From now on, we give the kilometer marks from Martigny to follow established practice.
