Towards Martigny, kilometer 0.000

In the large and flat Rhône valley, the line runs along the cantonal road to the CFF-SBB train station of Martigny. The Martigny-Châtelard company has only very modest facilities there. On the way to Martigny is the on-request stop of les Fumeaux (PK 1,145).

In Martigny, the Martigny-Châtelard connects with the CFF-SBB Simplon main line and with the Martigny-Orsières line, also managed by TMR.

Between Martigny and Vernayaz, the track is electrified by overhead cables. It runs alongside the road.
