From les Tines to la Joux

After les Tines, the track is confronted with steep slopes to climb up a glacial sill: the gradient reaches 70 mm/m. The railway crosses the Arve on a stones and metal brdige, then it goes through the short tunnel des Éboulis and through two avalanche galleries. After this, the slopes ease somewhat and the railway serves La Joux stop in a prairie.

The second avalanche gallery is not far away. Here, a Z 850 EMU crosses this gallery just before calling in La Joux.
